The representative of Algeria, the CEO of the Algerian company EMS Champion Post Algeria, Mr. Nabil Bensissaid, has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Universal Postal Union’s Express Post Cooperative. The Board is responsible for defining the policies and strategies of the cooperative, as well as its work plan, in addition to establishing practical, commercial, and technical standards, as well as initiating various recommendations related to the operation of the express mail service. The new composition of the Board, which extends the term of its members until the General Assembly scheduled for 2023, consists of representatives from Algeria, Russia, the United States of America, France, Singapore, Senegal, the Netherlands, Japan, and the Cayman Islands. It should be noted that the Express Post Cooperative was created by the Postal Operations Council of the Universal Postal Union to develop and manage express mail services, and is committed to facilitating cooperation between postal operators affiliated with the Union to enable them to provide customers with high-quality services on a global scale. The Cooperative, which brings together 175 engaged concessionaires from different countries, consists of three (03) structures:

  • The General Assembly, composed of all members,
  • The cooperative management board, composed of 09 members.
  • The Cooperative Secretariat.
